I did an analysis of what 2024 would look like if states chose house members based proportionally on the votes, long story short, dems gain 1, gop lose 3, and we get 2 independents. Seems like both parties are equally gerrymandered
Turns out, dems go from 212 to 213, gop goes from 223 to 220, and 2 independent candidates come in.
What this says to me is there is an even amount of gerrymandering on both sides.
So I was interested in all the talk of gerrymandering to see what a house of reps would look like if there were no districts and instead we divided the number of reps by the statewide votes.
