Baton Rouge, thank you for showing up and speaking truth. Thursday’s town hall was a powerful exchange of ideas, concerns, and community strength. I hear you and I’m carrying your voices with me as we push for solutions and continue to stand up for what’s right.

Lafayette, I hear you and I’m fighting everyday for real solutions. Your voices give strength to this fight, and together we can deliver the change our state and nation deserve. Thank you for showing up and speaking out.

Shreveport, thank you to everyone who joined last night’s town hall! It was an honor to hear your concerns, ideas, and perspectives. I know many of you are frustrated with this government shutdown, and I understand why. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to serve you.

It was an honor to join the Baton Rouge Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. for their Kids Congress: The People’s House event! These bright young minds learned about how government works, what a bill is, and why laws exist. The future looks bright!

President Trump can eat Argentinian beef, but I’ll be sticking to the local farm-raised beef from the farmers in my congressional district. #IStandWithUSCattlemenAndWomen

This morning, I stopped by Baton Rouge Magnet High to keep the conversation with our young people going. The next generation is watching, listening, and preparing to lead. Their voices truly do matter now more than ever.

Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders. Today, I returned to my alma mater, McKinley Senior High, to remind them that their voices matter. In today’s political climate, it’s critical that our young people understand how government works and how they can shape it for the better.

If Republicans’ partisan bill stands, health care tax credits that help thousands in our district are on the line. I will keep fighting until the government is open again and your health care is protected.

Fair representation is not optional. It is a constitutional right, and I will fight to make certain ALL Louisiana citizens are never denied their rightful seat at the table of democracy.

Yesterday, I visited St. Landry Parish businesses, healthcare centers, and held a successful town hall with residents. I heard you all loud and clear, and I will keep fighting in Washington to deliver the resources and opportunities St. Landry deserves.

Today was a reminder that good policy starts with listening and good conversations. Thank you to the CENLA Chamber of Commerce, CENLA Broadcasting, and the great people of Central Louisiana for your engagement and insight on what matters. #6thdistrictlisteningtour #LA06

The Senate’s vote to gut LPB funding is a direct hit to Louisiana communities. As this dangerous budget cut returns to the House, I am standing up for teachers, parents, seniors, and rural families who rely on public broadcasting every day.

I’m back in DC with my boots on the ground to vote NO on the President’s “Big Ugly Bill.” Louisiana, I hear your concerns and I’m here to represent you as I vote no on this bill!
July 1, 2025 at 7:29 PM
The Senate just passed the “Big Ugly Bill” that will take away healthcare benefits for over 11.8 million hard-working Americans and increase the deficit by $3.3 trillion just to give tax breaks to the wealthy.

What a joy it was to join our seniors for Senior Skip Day with the EBR Council on Aging. Behind every laugh and dance move was a reminder of why this work matters. I’ll always stand up for the policies that put our seniors first.

The seat I currently hold was created by the Louisiana legislature last January. Today we were expecting the Supreme Court to rule on whether the current map will be in place for the remainder of this decade.

As we celebrate Juneteenth, we reflect on the perseverance of those who came before us and recommit ourselves to a future rooted in hope, unity, and justice. We show that commitment not just in our words, but in our actions every single day. #Juneteenth

Our town hall in West Baton Rouge was a tremendous success. I’m grateful for everyone who showed up, spoke up, and shared their passion, especially about the future of our children’s education.
Stay engaged, stay vocal, and let’s keep working together to build the Louisiana our children deserve.
