El anime de Tojima Tanzaburo Wants to be a Kamen Rider tiene tanto aciertos como fails.

Entre lo que han atinado bien es cambiar el orden de ciertas cosas para generar dramatismo. Entre los desaciertos es volver cringe lo que era funny con Yuriko.

Me preocupa un poco que harán con Ichiyo.

Still, Super-1 is probably peak design Showa (sorry not sorry Kotaro).

Anyways I'm a kid that grew up with Wing in early 2000 and revisited the show as adult only to discover that a lot of the plot is contained in the manga.

So I just wanted to clarify some points since Heero and Wufei lacks deep in the show due that

Duo is my fav character from Wing alongside Heero. For me Frozen Teardrop doesn't exists. That's it.

Duo specifically hits worse due his background...

Cut from the anime too: He was raised by a nun and a Father (that's why Duo dresses like a priest). But after shit tons of tragedies, he himself stopped believing in God and thought himself as a "God of Death" that carries disgrace wherever he goes.

Yeah that's why is so jarring. He added a lot of science fiction stuff that weren't present in the original, made a lot of carbon copy characters for no reason and basically wasted all the things Wing and Endless Waltz represents.

Duo specifically was done dirty to the worst possible way...

I don't know how the guy really made a cohesive plot for the original anime (including the cut content that ended in the manga) and suddenly wrote Frozen Teardrop like... Felt more like a next generation bad fanfiction, but no, SOMEHOW IS THE ORIGINAL WRITTER.

Like ruining hiw own work.

But basically Trowa amnesia in the anime is technically his second one, showing a personality that might be "the real one" rather than the cold blooded assasin pilot we know.

He still never recognized Catherine tho, but acted more like the kid he really was before being separated from her.

No, it's really that bad. Avoid it if possible.

Welp, gonna tell then. Trowa and Catherine are truly biological brothers. Just that Trowa lost his childhood memories and she thinks that her brother died for good. Without memory, Trowa became a mercenary "with no name". Rest of lore is in EW.

But I can't spoil it since his lore isn't truly explained until Frozen Teardrop. *Sighs*

Part of the true lore of the characters is expanded in Endles Waltz, but not fully developed. Again, Heero Duo and Wufei affected the worst.

All that plot about the original Heero Yuy politician that was foreshadowed a lot and ended in nothing was the result of that. Duo is another victim of the cut too.

Quattre and Trowa not so much.

The manga Glory of the Losers covers what the anime didn't.

Wing sadly cut the background of all the characters due the scheduled number of Eps. Like, for example Heero lore was inteded for Ep 13 but after some meetings was decided to be cut due the lenght, and they made instead a recap episode since they didn't have time to made a new episode instead.

Meilan was sadly relegated to only appear in the manga since the original anime didn't have enough airtime to develop the lore intended by the writter. We just received Meilan anime design this year woth the 30th aniv PV.

But Wufei is an asshole basically cuz he learned to be an asshole from her.

has more scholarly interest rather than fighting. She called herself Nataku and piloted a Tallgese. When she died in battle, Wufei decided to honor her, naming his Gundam after her title, Nataku, and carrying her desire for justice, deciding that weak never should be in the battlefield. (2/2)

There's an explanation (albeit doesn't justifies him). Like most of the cast, his background was cut in the anime, but basically he was forced into marriage at age 14 to a girl being a heir of a powerful dynasty. This girl, Meilan was insuferable arrogant and always called him weak since Wufei (1/2)

As a KR Stronger fan, I just need to give a warning: Tackle is a great character that suffers from bad writting 80% of the show.

At least she's more useful than Riderman tho (?).

No ill intent, just that sometimes people hype Tackle too much and can dissapoints when you really saw Stronger.

G Gundam has most of it's political background unexplored in the series. But after reading some magazine translation from that time, I discovered that has more worldbuilding than I expected.

Depends.

Since Gundam U.C. introduced the concept, most series just deconstruct it in different ways like Wing or SEED.

Gundam G subverted this.

And Gundam 00 avert it, having several factions.
