Finished The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by @sgj.bsky.social yesterday. I highly recommend the audiobook, especially for the final few chapters. *chef's kiss* Right up there with Project Hail Mary audiobook. #booksky

Pete Buttigieg breaks down DEI for everyday folks…

“The opposite of diversity is uniformity. The opposite of equity is inequity. The opposite of inclusion is exclusion.” @petebuttigieg.bsky.social

Our problem: too many value uniformity over inclusion and they’re the ones running the government.

Maybe corny but it was helpful for me to hear Henry Rollins saying "this is not time to be dismayed, this is punk rock time, this is what Joe Strummer trained you for... You can be thunderous in your own life, to the eight people around you. That rubs off... Goodness is viral"

I finished this book yesterday. Highly recommended! As a youngster, I always wondered how the German people allowed those atrocities to happen. Now I know it happens all the time. This book shows just how easily people will fall in line, and I fear it is happening in the U.S. right now. #booksky

Last night, I watched 28 Days Later for the first time in years. It still holds up as one of the scariest movies I've seen. That tunnel scene is etched in my brain forever! #filmsky

These are the books I've finished over the past 4 days. I recommend them all, especially Recitatif by Toni Morrison. It's a short story that forces one to confront their inherent bias. I love how Morrison makes me work every time I read her art. #booksky

I think returning books early on #Libbyapp is an act of benevolence. There were 42 people in line for “How We Learn To Be Brave” by Bishop Mariann Budde.

My library didn't have a copy of “How We Learn To Be Brave” by Bishop Mariann Budde in their catalog. I placed a request for the ebook and audiobook this morning. I was tagged this afternoon that both were waiting for me. #libbyapp and #phoenixpubliclibraries for the win! #booksky

Coming to #booksky trying to find my #booktok fix. Currently reading the 2nd book of The First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie, Before They Are Hanged. I am immersion reading it with a physical copy and the audiobook from the Libby. I love fantasy, science fiction, and historical fiction. Any recs?
