People have alway been racist. Party affirmation doesn’t always track that.

Unions in the 80s were racist against black members.

It’s the reason why FDR New Deal works then but Green New Deal gets much criticism. It’s ok for “socialist programs” as long as it’s for white/white adjacent people.

Fair but the “it was alway like this” needs more context. When I talk to black folks, Wow racial profiling? Wow arrested without due process? Wow murdered/blown up just because?. NOT WRONG. That fear has always been there for some folks. It’s just happening to set of people that are privileged.
