Jane has already made remarkable contributions in her roles at Oxford. We are confident she will bring the same intellectual rigour, vision and commitment to the public mission of Gresham College, helping to sustain and expand its tradition of free, accessible public lectures in the heart of London.
Huge congratulations to Regent's alumna, first female Fellow of the College, and current Honorary Fellow Professor Jane Shaw, who has recently been announced as the new Provost at Gresham College, effective December 2025 👏

Prof Reddie's research lies at the intersection of Black liberation theology and Practical theology, focussing on developing a participative model of Black theology that seeks to impact the consciousness of ordinary Black people, particularly those living in inner-city poor communities in Britain ↘️
Dr Tim Middleton’s research focuses on the intersections of theology and religion with science, nature and the environment 🌱. But what does that mean? Tim has helpfully summarised his current research in 💯 words for us so we can get a glimpse of his fascinating ‘big picture’ questions!
Although we'll miss Trent as he settles into life at New College, we hope that he'll pop in to visit us all at Regent's all the time! You've always got a home here. Congratulations, Trent - we can't wait to hear all about your future research 👏 ⭐

Trent has enjoyed an almost 20-year career in the Australian Army, and already has a Master of Military and Defence studies, and an MSt in History of War from Regent's. After serving a United Nations Peacekeeping Operation for much of 2025, Trent is looking forward to continuing his research.
We are delighted to congratulate Regent's alumnus, Trent Harron (2023, Mst History of War), who will be returning to Oxford next term to commence studies for a DPhil in History at New College!
Anthony will mainly focus on overseeing a continued set of programmes taking place in the Humanities Building on Friday lunchtimes. He will be the fifth academic lead to oversee the Hub, the first from a PPH and the very first Theologian! Congratulations, Professor Reddie, on this exciting new role.
We are delighted to share the news that Professor Anthony Reddie has been asked to become the lead academic for the 'Race and Resistance' Hub at TORCH | The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities for the next three academic years!
Anthony recently took part in an interview with Professor Kwok Pui Lan, a leading postcolonial theologian. Together, they discussed how Anthony became the first Professor of Black Theology; developing black theology since the 1990s; and the first course on Black theology, which he offered in 2023.
Prof Anthony Reddie is the first Professor of Black Theology in the history of the University of Oxford and Director of the Centre for Black Theology, based at Regent's 🎓
