Well I am fully up and awake now (and the excitement of the trailer made me no longer tired 😂) I suppose I should go into work early since I have my formal observation today at 9:45 and although I'm ready it couldn't hurt to go over everything again lol. (no but seriously I am fully ready lol)

Ugh my charger cord isn't working. Now I have to use the short one that doesn't allow me to turn over in bed while charging my phone. (first world problems) 😂

Just went out and checked the aurora with my phone and can't pick up anything at all. I think I made the right decision by not going out tonight.

Today my kindergarteners learned the sight word "not". The sentence I used was "the sky is not green. Except last night when it was!" and then used that to segue into telling them about the aurora and showed them the pictures and everything! They thought it was so cool!

OK so I saw the Taylor nation story on IG while work, I looked away for a second and it was gone. I saw it was about the trailer being on GMA. But I missed what day it will be. Tomorrow? Anyone know for sure? And hopefully trump will NOT take it over this time!

Well I think I'm not going out tonight after all. 1) I don't have that much gas left and I don't get paid til Friday. 2) all of the sudden my camera app keeps crashing. 3) my friend w a better aurora app says it's there but not super strong, barely visible to the baked eye.

Current aurora map and current cloud cover. Right now we are at 9% probability of seeing the lights. Last night it was at like 16%. I think I'm going to wait and see if we end up in the green or not. But NY, ME, VT, and the whole area should be getting a show right now! East coast, go outside!

The aurora is starting up again, trying to decide if I'm up for another night or not. Going to have to go north this time due to cloud cover though!

Tomorrow is my rescheduled formal teacher observation (rescheduled because of my tooth stuff from last week). I kinda almost forgot all about it til I saw it on my schedule... At least that means I haven't been stressing about it 😂(but also teaching 14 yrs I don't get quite as nervous as I used to)

I tried to get a selfie in front of the aurora using my timer. But because the shutter speed was on two seconds it ended up looking like my soul left my body instead 😂😂😂😂

I'm so glad I went out even though I was tired. The excitement definitely gave me a second wind. The last 5-6x the aurora was this active it was super cloudy or it was the middle of the night so I know I'm not always going to get this lucky!

Not the best pictures of the aurora that I've ever taken, it was so cold and windy it was hard to keep my camera still. And for some reason I could only get my shutter speed to 2 seconds even though I know for a fact there's a setting somewhere for it to be 10 seconds. I couldn't find it though!

I can't feel my fingers anymore in order to keep taking pictures so I guess I better call it a night. Picture quality isn't the best because it's soooo windy my phone won't stay still lol. Will post when I get home

It's starting to die down but I think it will pick up again. I'm so cold because I jumped in the car so fast I didn't bring my coat and the windchill rn is like 40 degrees lol

My app says there's a high chance of seeing the aurora tonight. And currently it's not cloudy. But do I have the energy to drive an hour away from Minneapolis so that I can see it? Ugh. I do not. 😭 I'm literally so tired I want to cry lol

I'm gonna quit my job, go find a spot deep in the woods, build myself a log cabin and live off the land for the rest of my life. I am so freaking tired. I shouldn't be working this damn hard every single day in a job that requires this job education and still be living paycheck to paycheck 😭😭😭

This afternoon was particularly stressful with so many kids not listening, with that stress my "lack of tooth" is now THROBBING. I don't think it's dry socket, but man I need to figure how to chill out under stress better because I can't let my job cause me physical pain 😭

I didn't take any pain meds tonight, and I fell asleep for a little over an hour and now I'm wide awake again. I am not sure if it's because the meds made me sleepy or if I'm less tired because the infection is almost gone but I kinda miss being able to sleep through the night this last week haha
