Our first captain, Charles Louis Hembrey. Born 21st April 1878 in Freemantle, Hants. Died February 5th 1951. Worked as a roofer while playing football for Boscombe where he lived and died. He provided the earliest photograph of Boscombe FC taken December 1899, from which this image is taken. #afcb

Deadline day.. other than kicking the tyres on some left back cover given Soler's injury, don't expect much from #afcb. We're all but safe. I would have liked us to bring in Senesi's successor now to get them up to speed before next season but doesn't look like that's on the cards..

Europa League, 6 games against mid level teams. You have to look at who they've actually played rather than the table. Beating Salzburg away was impressive.. but other then that they've not played anyone half decent. The meat and drink of their league is a long way below PL level..

Dear #afcb fans. This is how we get ahead of ourselves. Β£10.5m for a player from NB1 is not a bargain or a coup. Only this week a Hungarian football podcast called a figure like that totally unrealistic.
NB1 is about League 2 level. The step up is enormous. The kid is talented but let him develop.

The latter option looks like an absolute steal with the player turning 25 in three months. He would fill the gap left by Justin Kluivert's injury nicely.

According to Mark McAdam, #afcb's deal for Rayan could be close to completion. The clubs are discussing the structure of the deal which indicates that the overall value is agreed. Personal terms are already sorted. For Rayan to be available on Monday night, he needs to be registered by noon today. β±οΈ

The Daily Mail are linking #afcb with a move for Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu. 21 year old Ghanaian winger in the Semenyo mould. 4 goals and 1 assist in 21 games at Championship level does not seem to support their quoted Β£30m price tag though.

The move for Muharemovic faces competition from Inter Milan and is complicated by Juventus holding a 50% sell on clause in the player. Juventus want to sign Davide Frattesi from Inter and are offering their interest in Muharemovic to Inter as part of the deal.
