There's no reason sports should be separated by sex, but there's NEGATIVE ZERO reasons why Chess has split tournaments. Like, absolutely no reason why the men and women should be in their own sections.

Learning about the Mexica (Aztec) Pantheon has weirdly pivoted into learning certain aspects of Norse mythology.
Haven't quite done a Norse deep dive yet but it looks like thats what I'm doing next.
