This fundraising event begins with a bar service, followed by the film, and ends with a special Q&A session. We are delighted to welcome representatives from former miners, politicians, and special guest Mike Jackson, one of the founders of Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners.

Miners’ banners are an extremely important part of the heritage of the pit communities of County Durham. In this illustrated talk Newcastle author Ken Smith will throw the spotlight on these wonderful icons of coalfield trade unionism.
