whatever/whatever. Honestly, just refer to me whatever I vibe to you as. I'm pretty ambivalent towards my pronouns and my sense of identity is always in flux.

Another one of my goblin tribe write-ups:

Screaming Maw Clan - Minor tribe; Sibling tribe to the Trap Jaw Horde.

Brutish and hulking, even amongst other members of their species. One is reminded of the so-called great apes from far off lands.

We get so caught up in the spectacle of the every day. How do we create and make meaning for ourselves in our lives when everything around us has been commodified?

We have to give up something to bring this world of ours to life.

A ritual is like an invitation to enter a space.

The experience of the ritual is what happens if you accept that invitation.

The ritual of carving then lighting up a jack o'lantern is an invitation for the holiday of Halloween.

Still finding the voice for this:

Iron Bite Tribe - Minor tribe; self-styled Servants of Iron, but outsiders call them “Iron Bite.”

This is a collection of goblin tribes that I doodled up ages ago. What's fun is I can give you the details of each tribe.
Having all of those stories up in my head doesn't do anybody any good, so I'm going to write up the details of each one. A paragraph or two.

I'm aiming for about one a week.

Okay... looking back through my post history here and... maybe I should try talking about something *other* than my nonsense, huh?

What I've built is more like a diagnostic tool than an analytic one. You won't find answers, per se, but you'll be able to untangle ambiguous states and figure out where states got tangled and diverged.

I haven't *quite* gotten to that point yet, but my notational framework should be pretty easy to implement via code.

If anybody's interested, these are my working notes while I'm doing my philosophical reading. I've opened it up for comments.Very loose and ongoing. I've also added my Principles of Liminality at the top for quick reference.

Currently reading: "Course in General Linguistics" by Saussuer
Notes While Reading
Notes and Quotes While Reading I’ll try to tie these back to the principles of liminality as I read and review. When I see the principle in action, I’ll reference it by an abbreviation. Principle of ...

For whatever mad reason, I'm working on writing up what I'm finding into a tentative paper. The logic of the ambiguous and the liminal.

I've derived a series of laws/principles for it, which means it should be teachable as a philosophical practice.

I have no idea why I'm doing any this.

Consciousness as something that metabolizes liminality.

It occurs to me that this is reason why jokes stop being funny, and why we experience semantic satiation. Liminal metabolism. We consume the ambiguous thing, until it loses its ambiguity and we're left with noise.

Lazy habits I've developed for playing TTRPGs that help the GM. My character has:
- a sketchbook and knows how to draw
- prophetic dreams or visions, if the setting allows

These give the GM easy outs if they want us to remember something or point us in a direction without giving away the plot

It occurs to me that I have absolutely no clue on how to actually build an audience without also feeling like I'm spamming and/or making a nuisance of myself.

I suppose I just need to start sharing more and pray to the algorithm gods.

Please, oh Master Algorithm! May my words find an audience!

In case anybody cares, I'm putting this up to get eyes on it. It's a tentative set of principals that I've been tinkering with to help make sense out of some of the math principles I've also been playing with.
The Principles of Liminal Systems
I’ve been tinkering with a framework for understanding ambiguity, contradiction, and the spaces between states. Over the past several…

I feel the Dadaists would be proud of the people attending protests in blow up costumes. Truly a spectacle of the absurd.

Currently reading "Course in General Linguistics" by Saussure.

That feeling of "I've been sitting here for an hour and only got through three pages because I keep stopping to think."

I don't read to understand a text. I read to seed my thoughts with the ideas the text contains, so I can synthesize and combine with other ideas from other texts.

My mind is a garden I'm cultivating, full of ideas that are starting to bear fruit.

This is how I should've approached my education.

Meaning doesn't come from having all the information.

It comes from the friction between who you are and what the world is.

Pragmatism is useless without joy, hope, something to look forward to. Partial, situated truths are safe. We need drama. We need theatrics.

"What do you do for fun?"

"Me? Oh, I like to write philosophy papers! I'm gonna formalize the nature of ambiguity and challenge 2000 years of Western logical assumptions.Want some tea?"
October 5, 2025 at 10:45 PM
I've accumulated enough examples of my liminal math stuff to feel comfortable writing it up as a tentative paper.

I've also worked out a rough but sound (so far) philosophical foundation to justify the examples.

Still a lot of work to do, but... I feel weirdly confident.
