I wasn’t comparing moral, ethical, legal, spiritual or any other equivalency. I was simply stating that both sides have reason to dig in. The impasse remains regardless of who holds the high ground. Still, if there are real elections, Rs will, one hopes. pay the price for their cruelty.

The shutdown has no easy off-ramps. Dems can’t surrender; their base will feed them to alligators, and health care is critical. Rs can’t surrender because Trump can’t look weak. He needs to dominate. We may be in for a long winter.

Right on schedule. As the MAGA blitzkrieg stalls & Trump faces growing opposition, they respond with more threats and attacks. Revenge is on the menu now, and the hunger for it is too hard to resist. It’ll be messy. They have power but not a lick of sense.

You know, my honest answer is we haven’t begun to grasp the damage to our country, with much more to come. The old US ideal is gone & ain’t coming back. But I also think they will lose in the end. Their strength —hatred — is also their weakness. We may end standing on rubble but we will rise.
