What started as a night of consternation for Wolfpack fans ended with them roaring “DUUUUKE!” in a 48-36 win over No. 8 Georgia Tech.

Agreed. It was just awesome to see him get back to being his confident self again.

DUKE SCOTT PUTS THE NAIL IN THE COFFIN!!

The Georgia native rushes for a 30-yard touchdown to give NC State a 48-30 lead over Georgia Tech with 4:07 left to play. Duke Scott now has 204 total yards.

Wolfpack fans are preparing to rush the field. 👀
Duke Scott just rushed for another 3-yard gain to put him at 159 rushing yards and 170 yards on the night.

Georgia Tech calls a timeout with 5:02 left and the Carter-Finley crowd yells "DUUUUUUKE" as he heads to the sidelines.

Massive night for the Stockbridge, Georgia native.
Will Wilson rushes in his fourth touchdown of the season and NC State now has a two-score lead at 31-20 with 7:00 left in the third quarter.

The Wolfpack offense now has 368 total yards, 31 points and is averaging 9.2 yards per play. 🤯
DUUUUUUUKE SCOTT!!

The Georgia native breaks one for a nice 69-yard rush and the Wolfpack gets it down to the 2-yard line after a penalty on GT.

Scott has 100 yards for the first time in his career at 111 after that attempt.
Hell of a stand there by NC State. False start on 4th and 1 forces Georgia Tech to kick a field goal.

Aidan Birr makes it, but the Wolfpack maintains a 24-20 lead with 8:10 left in the third quarter.
Field goal attempt from Birr is wide left.

NC State has a 21-17 lead over Georgia Tech and will get the ball on its own 37-yard line with 56 seconds left and one timeout.
Well hello there, Caden Fordham!

Fordham and Chase Bond blow up Haynes King in the backfield to force a 3rd and 15 with 1:08 left in the first half.

NC State stops GT to force a 4th and 7 and the Wolfpack calls a timeout with 1:00 left to play.
CJ Bailey saw your criticism. Dude is balling out tonight.

Rolls out to avoid pressure, has a clear running lane for a first down, but keeps his eyes downfield and hit Terrell Anderson for a 51-yard catch.
NC State nearly holds GT to a field goal in the red zone, but an obvious DPI negates the third-down stop. Instead, the Yellow Jackets take a 17-14 lead with 6:25 left to play in the first half.

The Wolfpack will get a chance to answer before heading to the locker room.
Noooooot what you needed there on the punt from Noonkester.

32-yard punt has Georgia Tech already in NC State territory one play later.
Sheesh. That's a tough drop by Allen for Georgia Tech to allow NC State to hold the Yellow Jackets to a field goal.

The Wolfpack maintains a 10-7 lead with 13:49 left in the first half.
NC State CJ Bailey in the first quarter vs. Georgia Tech:

- 10-11 passing for 104 yards, 1 TD
- 3 carries for 35 yards, 1 TD

Hell of a start to this one for the NC State offense. CJ Bailey has a passing TD and a rushing TD on the first two drives to make it a 14-7 lead over Georgia Tech with 1:59 left in the first quarter.
CJ Bailey's first incompletion is a throw out of the end zone on first and goal.

That's immediately followed by a false start on Cody Hardy to make it second and goal from the 11.
Cian Slone with a tackle for loss on the first play defensively for NC State.

Two missed tackles on a crossing route for Jordan Allen and Georgia Tech is seven yards away from the red zone. Not exactly how State's defense drew that up...
That scripted drive for NC State looks considerably better than the first drive against Pittsburgh. 😅

Cody Hardy finishes with a touchdown to give NC State a 7-0 lead.
Cody Hardy is making people believe after that reception.

Oh, and hey Dante Daniels. The tight end position is still alive and well without Justin Joly in the lineup.
NC State could be without its top two playmakers vs. Georgia Tech, with TE Justin Joly and RB Hollywood Smothers listed as "questionable" on the injury report.

Smothers leads the ACC in rushing yards and Joly leads NC State with 5 TDs this season.

Just a reminder of what a sold-out Lenovo Center sounds like for an NC State game. This transition dunk from Rodney Purvis against Duke in 2013 sounded like a jet engine.

All 19,700 seats inside the Lenny are sold out for the Wolfpack’s season opener against NCCU on Monday.
NC State football coach Dave Doeren discussed why he enjoys coaching this year's team after a roster he "hated" coaching during the 2024 campaign.

“I'm going to enjoy every minute with them, man.”
