#COP30 ended at the weekend.

The final deal is known as the Mutirão and it represents some progress around a just transition but a lack of new, non-debt creating climate finance is disappointing.

The Kenelm Youth Trust annual report is available in your @rcbirmingham.bsky.social parish this weekend. The scope of Catholic youth ministry across Staffordshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands is incredible! How can you support it in your own parish and deanery?

This weekend, the Solemnity of Christ the King is World Youth Sunday. A young person might give an appeal in your parish. Young people in the Church are a precious sign of hope.

The Annual #RedWednesday Mass for schools, hosted by Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), was held at St Chad’s Cathedral today.

The message from school children across the Archdiocese is loud and clear – we stand together with our persecuted brothers and sisters.

With negotiations happening at #COP30, it's critical that the UK plays a key role in pushing rich countries to unlock new sources of public finance. Especially when 93% of the most vulnerable countries are in a debt crisis. 💸

Our friends at St Mary's College, Oscott have launched a fundraising drive to raise over £150,000 by July 2026 to restore the chapel organ.

The organ is central to the daily worship of the college community during Mass. It is much-loved but in desperate need of restoration. Can you help?
