In the end, I couldn't resist making something even more fucked up and evil than Lorenz-12 already is...
But at least it's reserved for an alternate timeline, and not the original timeline itself, so be grateful for that at least LOL

In a way, they reverse roles
Dokka starts to become more unstable, an emotional bomb so to speak, unable to control her emotions properly anymore
Menreiki starts to feel numb over time after all of her anger explodes and starts to fizzle out, her bomb has already detonated so now she's left charred

Eventually they isolate themselves from any other possible supports around them, and so all they can do is keep running back to each other, now the only person they can turn to being one another, no matter how unhealthy it is

Naturally, things will eventually start to get real nasty between them
And thus we end up with Dokka x Menreiki toxic yuri
Neither of them are coming out of this without practically losing themselves entirely, becoming a shell of who they once were 😋

Dokka and Menreiki have always had a disliking for each other
Now wracked with grief, that disliking starts to grow stronger as they both start to blame the other for what happened to Athena
The one person who could be a "mediator" of sorts is the same person they now grieve

But it's still at a point that Menreiki and Athena were starting to get considerably close to one another, it just hasn't evolved into anything romantic or sexual yet
Athena is someone very close to both Menreiki and Dokka, they both trust her a lot
So both of them suffer the loss heavily

Actually, let me explain the gist of this alternate timeline cus I can't remember if I made a post about it or not
But basically, the point of divergence in this timeline is that something happens to Athena much earlier on, so Athena and Menreiki never get together

Dokka likes to spar, so she's a skilled fighter
But Menreiki tries her damndest to avoid violence, so she is only operating off pure anger in order to fight
She doesn't have experience like Dokka does, so Dokka WILL kick her ass

-Dokka wasn't expecting it, so when she pulls herself back together, she's now really pissed off
So she thrashes Menreiki, that's why Menreiki is all beat up 💔
Menreiki is lucky she didn't damage Dokka's glasses, or she would be much worse off 💀💀💀

The idea behind it is that this is sometime early on in this alternate timeline, and that something Dokka would have said or done got Menreiki REALLY pissed off
Menreiki makes a swing at Dokka and lands a solid punch square on the side of her jaw-

There's a difference between alternate universe and alternate timeline
Alternate universe has shifts to the worlds fundamentals, so it sets it apart
But alternate timeline is just a divergence from the canon timeline, the universe is the same
Both are "what-ifs" tho
