Well sod it, if I'm gonna have two old timers inked up might as well pick gooduns. Here a slightly smaller Sheaffer Balance than my previous, in a jewelled resin pattern and a fine nib. Sample written with Diamine Soft Mint. Again, this pen will probably date from between 1935 and 1940 or so.
Catching up on Critical Role 4, jesus fuck this is a lot
People just make existing so much more irritating right?
It must be a pain in the ass to get stuff for that over yonder 🤣
Was going for sit down lunch with boyf but have ended up at KFC cause the concept of dealing with people more than the bare minimum is anxiety inducing.
And now the caramelldansen is stuck in my head 🫣
What’s it like inside your head?
Honestly I still don't understand.
Today in I feel I've become old, Gen-Z SO has been trying to explain to me the latest round of brainrot memes from "67" to "I be profen = jacking off". I am bewildered.
Watching CR 4, I fucking love Marisha Ray
I don't often ink up the great grandfather of my collection, but I always love it when I do. A beautiful, if slightly rough around the edges, Sheaffer Balance from the mid 1930s with a fine nib. Writes well, slightly angle sensitive but nothing major. Certainly doing well for 90 odd years old
Not to be overly British but I have a sudden and intense craving for beans in toast.
Otherwise it's a lovely writing thing, with a very smooth mechanism and suits my enormous hands very well.
Not at all :) I have had the pen a while now. The only downside is I find it a tiny bit leaky, as in there's usually a small amount of ink on the grip after it's been sealed for a while. It *could* be the ink, it's got some very wet Watermans Purple in at the moment, need to investigate further
Yup. I feel that. I had a moment when I'd been trying to get a full fill in a vac fill pen for about 20 minutes where I was like "oh we're task avoiding today, I see." Sometimes you gotta practice kindness and accept that the brain ain't braining.
This is a familiar feeling. I've managed about an hour of semi-retentive study and then have been distracted by everything else within a 10ft radius of my desk.
The unmistakable, deep chasm of dread feeling you've completely fucked up
It took me 1hr 20 to drive 20 miles this morning. The M27 sucks ass at the best of times but that takes the piss, I could be in zone 1-4 London, 3 times as far away in that time.
