I must stop using the c word for a variety of reasons. The top reason at the moment is I’m using it far too much of late.

Obviously it also has some misogynistic connotations as well.

I need to find a new expression of anger, upset and outrage.

All this anti-trans activity is hard for me to witness. When I came out in the 80s, anti-gay sentiment was high, fuelled by the press and government who introduced section 28.

What is happening now feels the same: an attempt to erase a group of society via press sensation and a bigoted government.
