Anyone wanting to show solidarity to Sudan should challenge the "no one cares about Sudan/no one is helping" narrative. WE care. Sudanese people at home & in the diaspora & our comrades have worked relentlessly to support people & dream of justice & freedom for all of us.
Often, when Black people are targeted with antiblackness & racial violence in movement spaces, we're told to wait for the "right time" to bring it up unless we want to be "divisive." The implication here is that there is a hierarchy for liberation within which Black people come last.
It's not "purity politics" to say that we don't want to coexist or collaborate with literal nazis. Any "big tent" that harbors white supremacists & fascists is a tent worth burning down.
Toronto is loud tonight 🐦🐦
Everytime you want to use AI to make some ridiculous image or video, ask yourself - is this worth the lives of Congolese people? droughts in low income US cities? exploitation of artists & cultural producers? extinction?

This is so terrible.

The Combahee River Collective was founded in Boston in part because Beverly Smith, Barbara Smith and others saw how police weren't investigating and press was ignoring epidemic of murders of women in Roxbury and similar neighborhoods.

This is a similar lack of regard, sadly.
New England serial killer fears stoked by 13th body found in small town
The body of Adriana Suazo, 21, was found by a passerby on June 13 in the woods of Milton, a Massachusetts suburb about eight miles south of Boston, according to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Offi…

It shouldn't surprise us that Chicago is fighting as hard as they are. It shouldn't shock us that "even the gangs are fighting ice". Street dudes are also your community. They're your family, neighbors, lovers, friends & sometimes comrades.

I have learned so many important lessons from being in Chicago about preparedness and how broad our coalition will be. Am eternally grateful to this city (with a special shoutout to Rogers Park) for showing us how to fight what is here and what is coming
A strip search is sexual assault
“No woman is going to think that the law itself is what is going to violate you, but that’s happened to me here and back there [in Venezuela], and it’s horrible,” one woman who was strip searched after friends visited her at an ICE facility said.
After Visits With Loved Ones, Some in ICE Custody Face Invasive Strip Searches
“It’s one of the most humiliating things one can go through,” said one woman jailed at Otay Mesa Detention Center.

Miss Major, now amongst the ancestors. Journey well, beloved, thanks for the real talk, riots and rocks hurled at fascists. We stand on your shoulders.
Loneliness, disconnect & lack of community are radicalizing people into everything from conspiracy theories to cults to fascism. Care is the antidote.
Yes, billionaires should not exist, even if it's Taylor Swift. Ya'll are "girl bossing" us to death & extinction.
Someone recently asked me if I feel "vindicated" as someone who was fired early on for speaking out against the seige of Gaza - now that the tide is turning.

Vindicated is a small & selfish feeling. I feel sick, hollow, angry - the last two years of genocide could vindicate only the devil.
Showing "conservatives" that their ideology is doing them a disservice & not producing the outcomes it claims to value - spending less money, focusing on "our own," helping "families," etc. - is a failing strategy.

It's doing exactly what it's supposed to do, destabilizing & flooding the zone.
You can't make a billion dollars, but you can take a billion dollars.
The girly pop billionaires are gonna girl power is to death.
White supremacist rhetoric & anti-Indigenous disinformation & propaganda in "Canada" is overwhelming. Genocide denial, eugenics, and direct interpersonal violence towards Indigenous People are increasingly the norm. People are not even coating in the violent Canadian politeness anymore.
The postal service & public transit are public social services & community infrastructure. I hate to break it to you, but they're not meant to make money
Every time my knee hurts, I resent any undeserving man I gave a bubble & whine to when my knees were still fresh out the box.

“Nobody in the world, nobody in history, has ever gotten their freedom by appealing to the moral sense of the people who were oppressing them.”
Listen, I'm going to need us to stop saying that humans are horrible and that all the injustice in the world right now is our collective doing.

It's the doing of a handful of people, and we know their names.
