Koralm Railway - Clear path for the project of the century
On December 12th, the Koralm Railway, connecting the two state capitals of Graz and Klagenfurt, will be officially opened. Under the title "Koralm Railway – Clear Track for the Project of the Century," ORF 2 will broadcast the festivities and live reports from the first train journey from 9:30 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. The two ORF regional studios in Styria and Carinthia are collaborating on this marathon broadcast to create a comprehensive national event. The program will be presented from the Styria regional studio in Graz. Presenters Kathrin Ficzko (ORF Styria) and Bernd Radler (ORF Carinthia) will guide viewers through the multi-hour broadcast. Experts will also provide fascinating insights. The regional studios will connect live with reporters at Graz Central Station (Gernot Frischenschlager, ORF Styria) and Klagenfurt Central Station (Horst Sattlegger, ORF Carinthia), who will share interesting details about the new rail line. Following the opening ceremony, Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen announced that another highlight in the coverage will follow the christening of the train: the "Rolling Studio" on the first official train on the Koralm Railway. Presenter Marco Ventre will report live from the train and conduct interviews to give viewers the feeling of traveling along themselves. For the premiere, 800 people will travel from Graz to Klagenfurt in 41 minutes on a 500-meter-long train. Upon arrival in Klagenfurt, a ceremony will take place in the Carinthian capital. 🎭Opera - Medea
A stranger, a sorceress, a betrayed lover. She is the woman who loves beyond all limits and therefore destroys, with the primordial force of human passions. She is Medea, an eternal figure who dares to challenge the order of the world in the name of her own pain. Luigi Cherubini's operatic masterpiece, which opens the 2025/2026 season at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, is dedicated to her. Written to a libretto by François-Benoît Hoffmann and first performed in Paris in 1797, the opera is presented in Carlo Zangarini's Italian version in a new production at the Teatro San Carlo, directed by Mario Martone, which writes a new chapter in the history of the Lirico di Napoli: it is the first time Medea has been performed on this stage. Riccardo Frizza conducts the orchestra and the chorus, the latter prepared by Fabrizio Cassi. Carmine Guarino designed the sets, Daniela Ciancio the costumes, Pasquale Mari the lighting, and Alessandro Papa the video, while the choreography is by Daniela Schiavone. The leading lady is Sondra Radvanovsky, already acclaimed at the Metropolitan Opera for her extraordinary performance as Medea, who for the first time in Italy gives voice and face to the vengeful sorceress. She is joined by Francesco Meli as Jason and Anita Rachvelishvili as Néris, her confidante. Creon, Medea's father, is played by Giorgi Manoshvili. Three alumni of the Teatro di San Carlo Academy complete the vocal cast: Désirée Giove plays Glauce, the protagonist's romantic rival, and her maids Maria Knihnytska and Anastasiia Sagaidak. Grayrocking – where you respond to an abusive person with little emotional energy, little as possible. You don't react, respond. It is tool. Why it doesn't work? A person escalates to get reaction. Feels like provocation to them.

The body will store neuropeptides – in organ tissues and glands that we associate with our trauma. And everyone has trauma. And those neuropeptides will stay with us 10 minutes or 70 years... until we have tools to resolve the trauma.

Candace Pert, was the first Harvard trained medical physician that linked emotion and chemicals in the body and in a scientific way. She identified these chemicals as neuropeptides. Unless we have emotion we cannot resolve.

Against this clumsy backdrop, the director poses the question: is the "homo virilus," the model of the "powerful, courageous, dominant" man, on the verge of extinction? Rather than beginning by defining this specimen more precisely, which she claims originated "in Greco-Roman antiquity," the film gets bogged down in a lengthy, verbose, and fragmented chronological exposition, attempting to depict some of its "thousand and one faces." A perilous exercise, which features a succession of figures including the French soldier of 1914-1918, Hitler, Ronald Reagan, and Sylvester Stallone… The demonstration alternates between displays of virility and Is virility in decline? The question is purely formal, and this documentary, a long, verbose exposition, unfortunately lacks focus and precision.
