I struggled with “a thing“ today.
I was finishing off a spicy story for a site that likes to use the first 250 words as a teaser. One 15 word sentence just wasn’t right, & I spent over two hours pillaging my thesaurus until it I found the equal-sized replacement.
Time for whiskey.

I love percussion. Can spent hours at a drum circle. Drums, toms, cards hitting bicycle spokes. I’ve literally played my bicycle resting upside down at a drum circle.

I miss the early days of speech recognition, where the software calibrated itself against my unique voice and all of its dictation flaws.

Diving in! We shared a Bloody Mary, served with a spicy crusted chicken breast encased in a Jalapeño cornmeal waffle. Alongside, a hash brown waffle with eggs, bacon, cheese, and sour cream.

It’s always a thrill to convert weather-damaged trail back to a safe passage. In this case, the Palisades Fire & subsequent rains destroyed this spot. Two hours and four energetic volunteers later, we had a repaired segment.
