Yes! I will be at the one in Philly on Saturday. Solidarity ✊🏻
It's my favorite! This is also when I really started appreciating Celtic Frost. I'd heard the earlier stuff for years, but I never connected with it in the way it seemed so many people did. Now I love it all, but Monotheist was my real gateway into the band. Got to see this tour too, it was amazing.
The Sunday sounds of Celtic Frost - Monotheist. Outstanding album.

The FLoP isn’t messing around!
Got to see this show today which features a lot of Paul Romano's work. Totally mind-blowing seeing so much of his work in person all at once. That Leviathan painting for Mastodon is full of fun and surprises when you really stare directly at it for a while.

Visual Artist Paul Romano (MASTODON, THE RED CHORD, HATE ETERNAL, More) to Display ‘Hushed and Grim’ Paintings in Full This Weekend - Decibel Magazine
For the first time ever, the celebrated artist is displaying the visual side of Mastodon’s latest album to the public.

More visuals. The soundtrack was a lot of Scala & Kolacny Brothers. Also a fair amount of Ween.
Beautiful day for a walk in Philadelphia.
It's Friday and the weather here is so pleasant. It's also a therapy day for me. Looking forward to unloading some thoughts and hopefully feeling some personal growth.
One of my favorites of the year just arrived. ANTIHÆLIX - A Serpentine Staircase Into Oblivion. I need this soothing chaotic hypnosis after such a punishing day.

The show on Friday with Qual, Void Vision, Nuxx, and DJ Baby Berlin was excellent. Void Vision is truly special. If you ever see this Philly woman coming to your town, do make the effort. She's carved out her own unique sound and presence.
A fine day for Crypt Sermon's Saturnian Appendices.
Lard - The Power of Lard EP. Hellfudge is fantastic. Time to Melt is a gem.
Sunday outdoor reading. Just arrived in the mail yesterday. I was beyond excited when they announced a fully bound collection of every issue of GWAR's Mind Control Monthly. I was a loyal subscribing bohab from around mid-'94 to the end.
LOL THEY'RE EATING THE DOGS AND CATS. I am currently listening to the live version from last year's GWAR tour of America Must Be Destroyed on the new Return of Gor-Gor EP and they totally added that sample into the song 😂
Tonight! Should be an awesome show of contemporary goth, industrial, electronic, etc. Always love seeing Void Vision. Very interested to see Qual. He does a fair amount of vox on the new Rhys Fulber album that just came out, which I unsurprisingly love in its entirety.
This Oranssi Pazuzu song is stuck in my head a lot lately. I love the lyrics, if the English translation that I read is to be believed.

Good morning. Watch out for those drivers at Stop signs. I witnessed one driver blow through an intersection while I was crossing. He seemed genuinely confused as to why anyone would think he should stop. Guess he wasn't familiar with shapes/colors/words. It's chaos out there, happy Monday.
Great lineup! I only just finally got to see Gary Numan for the first time a couple of years ago and it was truly outstanding. I revisit the Intruder album frequently. Have fun!
Fun night out on Passyunk Avenue last night. At some point I felt compelled to take these pictures from one of the bathrooms in The Pope.
Nice to hear! As much as I had some expectations from seeing them previously, this tour presented something unexpected that felt beyond a visceral connection. The simplicity of those first few songs, with the slight lyrical modifications, was what stuck with me the most.
Anyone here sitting out front on a porch/deck/stoop on this warm but breezy September evening listening to Ulver?
