If it helps I did a short thread on coming to BlueSky:
bsky.app/profile/radi...

And on deleting all content on Xitter (but keeping your old handle)
bsky.app/profile/radi...
Some noddy-level observation and comments about Bluesky after 24 hours. Hope they are useful to you:

1. For ease of discovery, set your bio text and both images to the same as Xitter. If you've lost those images, it's easy to save them from Xitter. 1/n
For souvenir hunters? Bit niche I know.
Interested to learn more, how to help etc....
I agree. I can see niche cases - getting power to battlefields, Antarctic, disaster zones etc.

The R^2 propagation losses will be massive. And the thought of mega or giga watt RF beams wandering off-target is terrifying!

A 1km antenna will be an attractive target for space debris too!
Surely it HAS to be the same punishment as if a normal member of the public did it? Presumably a fine, but not losing your job?
As I understand it it's a licence to rent the family home, so portfolio not applicable.
Oh no no, I'm sure not!

I just hope at least one publication is just taking a look at some Tory MPs rental arrangements!
It is totally within the claimants control. They are awarded a mobility allowance in Β£ that they can spend how they like - scooter, taxis, lease car, whatever. The full award only affords a fairly small car, so many claimants have to add their own money to get the car they need.
What drives these people to be so hateful? Can't they imagine themselves or a loved one becoming disabled and needing help?

The logical conclusion of their position is a dog-eat dog, survival of the fittest world which would probably petrify them, running home to mummy.
Bad Enoch is being brave calling for resignation. Is she SURE none of her MPs have made the same mistake?
I need to read it, but my attention will be on whether they have included implementation costs. Eg: collecting Β£20 for GP appointments. A whole new job role, possibly IT development and integration programme for practices that are already doing 20% more work than they were 10 years ago. Etc
Of course, or risk more serious sanction.
I agree - she should be treated the same as anyone else. Caller to LBC just now knew someone who'd fallen foul of this law and been fined Β£40k. I'd imagine a fine that large might have involved deception or wilful intent though

Same rules for everyone is my mantra - public, Labour, Tory, Reform..
Thanks. Interesting that this doesn't seem to have been reported so far in MSM. Never let a good scandal go to waste!
I'd heard she had referred herself, but seen no reports she's been cleared. The main thing in my mind is that on the legal (not ethics) point she faces the same sanctions/punishment that you or I would if we broke the law in the same way.
Unless she's wrecklessly ignored expert advice, Reeves needs to suffer no more and no less than a member of the public would, who did the same. Saying the rules are complicated or confusing is no excuse (like it wouldn't be for us), especially when she is a lawmaker.
I'll be surprised if it works anywhere but outdoors with a good view of the sky in most directions. Great for for those true blackspots like trans Pennine roads, Highlands etc. But I suspect most people are thinking blackspots in buildings, trains etc so, will be disappointed.
BBC are experts at subtle, barely perceptible propaganda. World leaders. The Russians and Americans are amateurs in comparison.
Easiest possible retort:

"Well if our Brexit deal was so bad, why did you, Mr Starmer, vote for it and whip all your MPs to vote for it?"
In other news:

The total expenditure on PIP in the financial year ending April 2024 was Β£21.6 billion.

So it looks like they plan to tax people Β£10 billion a year for being disabled.

Just like self-driving cars, I think the biggest question is liability/insurance. When something goes wrong, who takes the rap?
But for the first time ever, using AI, I've managed to build a couple of Linux PCs to duplicate the (fairly specialist) functions of what I achieve with Windows. Normally I hit a brick wall that gazillions of searches and discussion forums cannot help with! 2/2
I'm torn about AI. For me it works well as a human addressable search engine, but it still needs scepticism about its results.

For coding I've found it pretty useless, but maybe that's my in-expert prompting. 1/2
But they can vote. In fact my local authority wrote a letter threatening my Mum (Telegraph -reading with Alzheimer's) with a fine if she didn't register!
