plum blossom bowl, 2025

Short round ceramic bowl against a white background. It is wider than it is tall. On the outside there are shuǐ-mò or sumi-e styled black plum branches with red flowers painted on with underglaze, against the speckled tan clay body. The inside has grayish glaze on top dripping into maroon in the middle.

It's that time again everyone! Blacktober! I along with @goldgauntlet.bsky.social created not one, but 2 Blacktober prompt lists, as well as a safety guide for Black artists next month!

strawberry cup.....

Rounded cup/bowl, about as wide as it is tall, and slightly tapered so that it is narrower at the rim than the bottom. The main part is underglazed bright red with white dots for seeds. The foot is shaped like five rounded sepals (two are visible here) and has chartreuse underglaze. It is placed on a setup with blue gingham fabric, fake light pink roses, and toast with jam. There is matcha with soymilk in the strawberry cup

Got a bullet journal on sale and you KNOW I'm using that as a sketchbook! 😏🙏
