Realized that part of what I love about watching chill, relaxing #Valheim build videos is that it has that same Bob Ross energy: someone gently encouraging you to just 'play around and see what happens,' while meanwhile they effortlessly craft a breathtaking masterpiece out of two sticks and a rock.

I've been tracking the cost of some medical supplies via pharmacy (when not covered by insurance) vs. direct purchasing from suppliers, and in 2025 alone the pharmacy price has skyrocketed from $3.75 to $12.
For a year's supply, that's $41.60 (direct) vs $624 (pharmacy) just for the base items.

My aging monitor gave up the ghost rather spectacularly at last into a mess of vertical lines, so I grabbed a replacement and am now trying to get used to actual colors that don't have a full .5" white faded border around the edges, and that also don't need a VGA connector.

Thinking about FDR as a president who was a wheelchair user, and how much of an outcry there would be today claiming how 'woke' the gov was becoming for ensuring basic physical accessibility to places, and how much of a 'burden' it would be that it should preclude that person from office entirely.

I appreciate that it's a fortunate thing that I can participate in Open Enrollment for health care, but -- apart from the cost -- there's always that added stress in the messaging that if I miss a single checkbox in this form, I'll irreversibly lose all coverage for the entire 2026 year.

My habit in #Valheim of putting a fire + workbench on top of cairns to stop spawns progressed to adding beds (for convenience), and then to storage chests, and now there's a bed-and-breakfast on top of every burial chamber.
