my life was in deep chaos and this album was grounding for me like nothing else. it opened me up to recognizing his influence on other music that i had already been enjoying for years. truly a singular talent and I'm shocked he's gone

i figure most fans of him discovered him in the 90s and y2k, i did in 2014 when this comeback album came out. i think i might have randomly read a review back when i was getting rss feeds for Pitchfork, or some anon on an image board posted it on a topsters list. whatever the case, it floored me
