Whatever happened to the scoring?

We still do scoring, occasionally, but no new job has required scoring for a very long time.

Do you still insist your PCB's are scored to increase yield on your PCB projects?

Lets talk about IPC.

⚡Do you always ask for IPC class 1/2/3 when ordering your PCBs?
⚡Do you ask for compliance or release? (is there a difference?)
⚡Do you ask for IPC coupons, ready to be reported on?

We have IPC class 3 certification so we can confidently match your needs!

We'll clear it back (by 0.2mm, to prevent any burring) if there are no instructions.

We also have specific customers that we never clear any copper back. In that case we'll add the extra copper to extend it past any edge (by 0.20mm (our standard rout tolerance)) so they get what they've designed.

Question: If you have copper going up to the board edge, & you want that feature, do you specify that it's not to be cleared back?

If it's required, do you then add copper outside the board edge & any cut-outs to compensate for the manufacturers tolerances?
