The official Brazilian government website had the registration for Plants vs. Zombies updated to include platforms such as the Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch alongside the name "Plants vs. Zombies Reloaded".

The Plants vs. Zombies Comics app (iOS only) has been Sunset, and users can no longer add comics to their library.

On March 30th, you will be unable to download comics. On March 31st, the app will no longer be supported.

Effective March 31, 2025, the Plants vs. Zombies Comics app for iOS will no longer be supported.

Beginning Feb. 24, 2025, users will no longer be able to add to their comics collections.

We strongly encourage you to download the books in your bookshelf by March 30, 2025. The ability to download books to your device cannot be guaranteed after that date.

Dark Horse Digital Closing

Effective February 24, 2025, the Dark Horse Digital (DHD) service is being closed.

Sales through the DHD website, and the Dark Horse Comics and Plants vs. Zombies Comics apps for iOS, ended on that date. Users can continue to log in to the website and read the comics in their bookshelves.

Effective March 31, 2025, the Dark Horse Comics and Plants vs. Zombies Comics apps for iOS will no longer be supported.

Users are encouraged to download the books in their bookshelves by March 30, 2025. The ability to download to your device cannot be guaranteed after that date. For access through the website, users without DHD accounts should create one and sync it to the app by March 30, 2025.

It’s long been our goal for Dark Horse content to be as easily discoverable as possible, and DHD has been an important part of our efforts. Digital editions of our comics and books are now widely available on numerous digital reading platforms and will continue to be released through these services. While the reach of our content has grown, consumer reading preferences have evolved in different directions, leading us to the difficult decision we are announcing today.

The second Chinese playtest for Plants vs. Zombies 3 has begun. It ends on January 22nd, and all progress from this test will be deleted once it's over.

Plants vs. Zombies: Original Edition (PvZ1C) received a revamp yesterday, renaming itself to be "Tower of Overwatch". The art-style has been completely redone, and the game now features A.I. generated lawn "art". The update was undone a few hours after its release.

The balance update went live yesterday on iOS, though it appears it's unavailable for Android users currently. The update has received heavy backlash from fans due to the game becoming fundamentally broken with numerous glitches appearing during gameplay.

If you've added the game to your library on either platforms, you should be able to reinstall it. Your coins will be carried over to the new version of PvZ3 if you have your account backed up via linking to an EA Account or linking to a Game Center / Google Play account.
