The "genius" move for Trump is that he's doing this to a country that generates a lot of electricity and gas for 1/3 of the United States in the winter.

Carney can literally tell the provinces to jack up electricity prices up to a level where it's gonna cause riots in the states.

Canada can actually start pressing this now. The US is coming into this in a weak position than 9 months ago. The government is shutdown, everyones broke but the 1%.

Canada can totally throw in a few crushing blows and send this administration to the edge.
