Public Transit: the most efficient way to move 100,000 people to and from Boston Common.
Agreed. His marble bag seems to have a few holes in it.
I'm so sorry to hear that. 🙁
4 Ravine St. Brand new 4BR single-family home. A builder purchased the vacant lot for $715,000 in 2024. New home just sold for $2,480,000.

Plans don't list square footage, but it seems to be under 3000 sq ft.
24 Dickson Ave. 3BR (2559 sq ft) single-family home. Assessed at $1,326,000. Sold for $1,510,000. Previously sold for $995,000 in 2015.

Looks like it would be buildable today.
58-60 Chandler st. Two-family home (2735 sq ft). Assessed at $1,134,000. Sold for $1,250,000. Previously sold for $50,000 in 1977 (about $294,000 in today's dollars). So, over a 4x increase, after accounting for inflation.

Buyer is an LLC, so I expect a renovation.
83 Sunnyside Ave. 2BR (1088 sq ft) single-family attached (right side). Assessed at $723,000. Sold for $980,000. Previously sold for $785,000 after a major renovation in 2022.

Not buildable today due to a lack of open space.
325 Lake St. 1BR (1190 sq ft) single-family home. Assessed at $1,072,000. Sold for $680,000. Previously sold for $33,100 in 1976 (about $192,000 in today's dollars).

Buyer is an LLC, and they picked up the building for a steal. Maybe an estate sale?
975 Mass Ave, #102. 2BR (997 sq ft) apartment condo. Assessed at $552,000. Sold for $588,000. Previously sold for $379,000 in 2015. I like the building.
Weekly thread about #ArlingtonMA home sales. 11 of them this week, with six over a megabuck.

Home ownership (and private property ownership in general) is a fundamental part of US capitalism, and we have the prices to show for it. 🙃
Video is cool, but damn it takes a long time to upload.
Signs from #NoKings Boston (and one bumper sticker)
Portland frogs, meet Boston lobsters.

#NoKings. Boston.
I came to Boston for college, was too broke to move afterwards, stayed around, and ended up liking the place.

I live in Arlington today. For all practical purposes, it's one of Boston's residential neighborhoods. It's just not in Boston proper.
I'm not lucky enough to live in Boston, but she's still my city and I love her.
Haven't seen one of these before: it's a large SUV with the word "cyclomedia" on the side, and a camera rig mounted on top.
