Several branches of law enforcement are stationed at the former rainbow crosswalk near the Pulse nightclub because folks repainted it after the state painted over it. Yet, several children have been hit at crosswalks in Jax recently and no law enforcement are camped out there. Florida's Priorities!
Cool critters, and super important for imperiled migratory shorebirds due to the tons of eggs they lay. And their blood is used to test for bacteria in medical devices. Their fantastic!
My son and I are looking forward to meeting you all in person after years and years of enjoying your content and interacting online! Just wondering, will Steve and Steve be showing up, too?
Thank you for your support! Do you use the Merlin app for bird IDs? I love the sound ID function. I recorded a mockingbird singing in my yard once and it came back with 5 different species. They are great mimics, but Blue Jays are quite talented, too (especially with raptor calls).
I asked some colleagues who watch, and they like the show but were fuming about the Atilla, toucans, Oropendolas, plus all sorts of robins, blackbirds, thrushes, etc. from the Americas that were in the background.
As an Audubon employee and biologist, I appreciate and empathize. E.g., Red tailed hawks are always used for eagles b/c they sound cool and eagles have a silly chuckle. "Wrong" use of nature is a huge distraction in shows (that snake is from South America! That bird call is from Australia, etc).
Friendly recommendation to take a few moments to read about academic research on autism and statements from science-based autism organizations before listening. Here is one statement from the Association for Science in Autism Treatment. asatonline.org/media_watch/...
Ours is a good value for a family of 4 using all preventative cleanings and x-rays, plus fillings, etc. Honest dentists have been my issue. Many upcode for more $ or push fluoride, cancer checks, mouth guards, etc. Ins. co helped me find a dentist for 2nd opinion and they became my new dentist.
If they are missing any info, they can just fill in missing sequences using the genome of the African clawed frog. I know a lab that did that once and everything turned out great.
