5: Whilst Valve's proton has improved a ton recently. There are still mod managers for games that have not made the jump. So if you play heavily modded games. Good luck to you good sir / ma'am.

Also some games also don't work well on Proton due to anti cheat or something else entirely.

4: Linux is complicated with so many editions to pick from. Most with different commands you need to issue. Some with different supported software and hardware.

I understand store fronts are a thing. But it still doesn't help with different apps. Such as ones built for Debian but you run Fedora.

3: There are other options. Stick to Windows 10 if you really want. Although would not recommend. Reinstall with LTSC and keep all your programs and files, as well as having support up to 2032. Get a Mac so you can still use most of your programs. Or just update to 11 and forget this point.

2: Linux must not grow. Here me out on it. If Linux becomes big enough. Companies will find ways to capitalise off of it. Make spyware for it. And in the end it'll fade from it's original concept and end up like Windows. Take RHEL for example. Linux distro turned paid server OS, purely for profit.

1: Linux isn't ready for everyone. It's not a perfect OS and probably never will be. It has it's limitations like Windows and macOS.
