:: sigh :: #ActBlue is a payment processor for causes and #campaigns mostly left of center. That part of their business is good. Tipping them to cover their operational costs would make sense if they cared about individual donors. They do not. They should teach campaigns about best practices.
In any complex situation there are multiple truths and layers. The vacuum created by non-voters changes the playing field. Project 2025 claims that over 100 organizations contributed to the policies. That's a mob. I call that the "Heritage Foundation mob" for that reason.
All research into non-voters is hypothetical. Also, it only covers the popular vote. My point is that it's not the personality of a candidate that put us in the current situation, but the Heritage Foundation mob who wants to dictate morality.
In 2020, 34% of eligible citizens did not vote. In the Pew Research article, it mentions that a sliver of people who voted in 2024 but not in 2020 slightly favored the current president.
Thank you for your reply. The research you cite only refers to validated voters. My point is that non-voters are the largest plurality.
Non-voters allowed this happen. In the US, non-voters are the single largest subgroup of citizens. In the last presidential election, 31% voted for Harris. 32% for Trump. 37% did not vote.
This dialogue surprised me. As a fan of scientific #fiction #writing I've always known that fiction reveals truths with sharper definition than documentaries. I always saw #drag performance as a "lie that tells the truth." I wonder if this resistance to fiction has wider implication for society?
I have had this discussion repeatedly: Some of the most educated and sophisticated people in the country are arguing in courts every day to destroy voting rights and oppress minorities. They work in powerful “think tanks." They are senior advisors to politicians. Education won't fix racism.
For #throwbackthursday a Sony Walkman cassette player with AM/FM radio functionality. I enjoyed traveling with this to France back in olden times. There was a tiny switch inside that changed the FM settings to work in Europe. #walkman #sony #europe

Writer's dreams fuel their novels. When you feel overwhelmed, schedule yourself out some think time to just think about your story, plan your story, without the having to be #writing it part. #AmWriting Just let the story sink into you, then describe it. - Wrtr #Writer #Author #BookSky #AuthorSky
My adult nephew paid me a huge compliment. He and his teen daughter played the #hypercasual #gayme I helped build. She was amazed that her grand-uncle built it (lol). My nephew told me she had lots of question about becoming an #gamedev herself. Nice! #godotengine #godot
Just finished this very enjoyable #mmromance that captures the allure of finding gay true love in a small town. The characters are vibrant and real. Small towns are complex and stereotypes do not hold. The author did a great job with integrating the sex and romance.

Researching romance books in prep of #writing one. Stumbled upon a great podcast. One #humor episode is outstanding! "Romance science" is the immutable laws of romance. If you touch hands, you'll KNOW if they are THE ONE. For #mmromance could be a lot of fun!
It's Romance Science! — Fated Mates: Romance Books for Novel People
This one is probably as goofy as we get — we’ve spent six years talking about Romance Science, and now class is in session! We’re talking biology, human physiology, astronomy, neurology, urology,…

I was chatting with one of my favorite #atheist friends, and he asked: How come I'm hearing Christians say they hate “empathy“? We had a good chat about the moral foundation empathy requires and how it threatens the power of Bible thumpers. I've summarized it in this meme. #empathy
Jedediah Smith set out in 1826 with 15 men to explore the area from the Great Salt Lake to Mission San Gabriel. How did he know the way? He followed First Nation trails. Our modern highways follow those old trails, too. California was part of Mexico back then. Smith had trouble getting a passport.
Yup. For a fuller and well-reasoned discussion of this and other right-wing fallacies, I found the #book *Responding to the Right: Brief Replies to 25 Conservative Arguments,* to be excellent. The author, Nathan J. Robinson, provides clear and concise rebuttals.
For #throwbackthursday Today's old painting that looks naughty but isn't™️ This is Saint Roch in Adoration by Giovanni Paolo Cavagna ca.1591. He's NOT doing a selfie. In the sacred legend he is showing that a plague wound has been healed. Lower hem raised, stocking lowered. Left leg exposed.
As someone with an orthodox christian background, the notion of the rapture is baffling. Even catholics know the verse by Jesus: "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only" (Matthew 24:36). Just saying.
🎶 Love is in the air. It's amazing what you can recognize when you're out #mmromance #gaymeme [Tip of the hat to octopus/caveman]
It's not the ignorance of the Gospel’s theology that I dislike, but the rejection of nonviolence. The Roman Empire had a massive military force. Even if the disciples of Jesus were armed to the teeth, it would have been a prolonged, bloody slaughter with no hope.
