It is ridiculous to see office parking lots full of gleaming unworked full size trucks. It raises the price of what should be a working man’s tool. They block other drivers’ vision on the highway and waste massive amounts of gas to carry a single suit wearing briefcase toter around.

You are right to counsel thoughtful caution. We also must train all public servants to distinguish between lawful behavior and unlawful use of power. As humans we tend to give way to power. Good for survival but bad public policy.

Police don’t have to arrest ICE agents. They have many alternatives. 1) decline to assist ICE, 2) decline to hinder anti-ICE protesters, 3) shield anti-ICE protesters from ICE, 4) warn neighborhoods ahead of ICE raids, 3) ticket ICE vehicles for illegal, driving, stopping, standing or parking.

Practice tip: A stupid liar will hurt his side about half the time. A malign liar never hurts his side. But, treat them both the same.
