The atrocities of both the Soviet communist and Nazi regimes were crimes against humanity. Surprisingly, those who oppose the latter often whitewash the former.

This is called karma.
I was asking the other guy
Are you defending rape because Ted Bundy did worse shit?
Iike, millions executed without trial?
It doesn't look that bad for someone who learns about the world from memes found on 4chan.
Thanks for your opinion, comrade
Is there any study that supports your thesis? Since it's unlikely you went through both systems yourself, you either read some data, or this claim is completely baseless.
Homelessness was also a problem within the East Bloc, although officially it didn't exist.

I'm sure you're able to name a few basic human rights that were taken away or severly abused by the communist regimes.
No, the legality of dissolution of the USSR is contested mainly by opinion makers employed by the Kremlin propaganda machine. There's plenty of academic studies that dissect the bs in detail. Here's a brief debunking of the false narrative spread by Sputnik.

Communism gave some rights. And took away fuckload of them.

You can't argue with "I've been following David Icke on reptilians, 5G and vibrational energy and he's never been wrong" kind of thinking.

The sheer hypocrisy of Russia annoys me the most. Only they are allowed to be violently expansionist. If NATO peacefully expands, that's a red line. Only they can test missiles, anyone else, it's a threat. Only they can threaten to nuke people, anyone else, it's suddenly not good for relations.
Also, Russia a.d. 2025 is just hell.
It worked just fine in many democraic welfare states.
