Rose blooms come, and then they go.

I dead-headed my roses yesterday. The first blooms of spring were ready to be cut.

They passed their peak by the first days of May.

I had to remind myself that roses are not their blooms, but the whole plant.
Oh...the possibilities of an empty bookcase 🩵📘

Which book and yarn combo would you choose?

The #ilovebooksandsockknittingkal25 hosted by Earth Tones Girl started last week!

I'm making a pair of vanilla socks. Now I need to decide which combo. Which would you choose?

I know! I think Bisa Butler's work is amazing!

It's cool to meet someone with the same taste in room dividers 🌞🌛
The current state of my Nyezi Pullover by Noma Ndlovu.

Now it's time to knit the hem 🧶

Be warned! My inner art history nerd comes out when I share the works of fiber artist Bisa Butler. The colors she uses in her quilts showcase African American history and culture. They are an inspiration to my own knitting.

So pretty! I haven't tried ladderback jacquard yet, but I plan to give it a try this year.
The original design is a folded and sewn down collar. You can pick up more stitches along the neckline to keep it broader so it doesn't pull-up as much. Knitter's choice!
Hello! Yes, this is a test knit. It should be released sometime in the next few weeks.
Thank you! I think it would look good cropped as well. I'll probably knit it longer since the neckline will rise when I pickup stitches.
The beginning of my Nyezi Pullover designed by Noma Ndlovu Knitwear 🧶.

I'm using Plymouth Sea Cotton in the colorway Soft White for this project.

A series of simple knits and purls makes this project a calming experience with a stylish, textured finish.
