NEWS: Canada has introduced legislation would formally repeal Canada’s Digital Services Tax. To date, the tax has been rescinded by press release only, not formally removed in law.

Today the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) released its updated definition of Canadian content (CanCon) as part of its efforts to implement The Online Streaming Act, which made streaming platforms subject to Canada’s broadcasting laws.
