There is a way in which a fish swimming around in a fishbowl knows nothing about water. It is so immersed in water that it can't really "see" it. If you want the fish to really understand water, you have to take the fish out of the bowl and say "Look, that's water".
Great quote.
"In the solitude of a book, we find ourselves a little more willing to be vulnerable to having our mindset challenged." - Nick Raines

The main difference between people who want to ban books and me:

They would feel threatened by that quote.

I feel *energized* by it.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Let's just all admit that the stuffing is the main dish at Thanksgiving, not the turkey. The turkey is just another side dish that you can have (or not have) along with your stuffing.

"Nvidia is a $5 trillion company representing nearly 20 percent of the U.S. economy. But its stateside employees represent less than 0.01 percent of the U.S. workforce."
It's like Jenga. As the U.S. economy rests on fewer and fewer pillars—a handful of affluent consumers, a handful of tech companies like Nvidia—it wobbles more and more. trib.al/wLQ1Kul

For LIFE!?
...since MTG is resigning, now would be a great time to assess the pensions of all former government representatives...what y'all think???

Remember to boycott Amazon,Walmart, Home Depot, Tesla, Starbucks, etc. especially this week. Buy nothing except essentials...and get those from local independent stores All the mega corporations and oligarchs care about is money, so cut off the supply. Starve the beast. Show them who has the power.
November 26, 2025 at 4:13 AM
Wow! Agreed, but this is still startling to read.

"This is not about the law. This is about the media cycle and intimidation..."
Bingo!
SEN. KELLY : “They informed me of this in a tweet because this is not about the law. This is about the media cycle, and intimidation… We basically repeated the uniform code of military justice, and they're saying that's in violation of it. It's absurd. Comical.”

Bingo.

Excellent idea.
The regime is doing all it can to kill renewable energy.
It is deeply in the pocket of the fossil fuel industry.
To all our detriment.

Resist in whatever way you can. Starve the beast.

This administration is so incompetent it is beyond belief. One stupid mistake after another.
🚨 BREAKING News: Are you sitting down?

Essentially, the 28-point peace plan presented to Ukraine was written/created entirely by Russia!!!

Trump was threatening Ukraine to sign it before Thanksgiving and Karoline Leavitt/Trump touted the peace plan as the U.S. proposal.

Impeach Trump now!

😅😂🤣😅😂🤣
TRUMP [after spending 5 minutes with Zohran]: surplus value, it’s a very wonderful thing, very wonderful, and they’re stealing it. Can you believe that?

We’re going to be looking very strongly at the bourgeoisie, what they’re up to

If you don't already know, please learn the difference because you will be hearing a lot of misinformation between now and the 2026 midterms.
Looks to me like Democratic socialism is what we should be aiming for. Beats the hell out of what we’ve got now!

Important. Pay atttention.
Todd Blanche tried to justify giving Maxwell special treatment and privileges because of her supposed “cooperation.”
November 21, 2025 at 9:20 PM
This is extremely important. It is direct evidence that the Trump administration thinks it can do whatever it wants without being held back by anyone -- including lawful oversight of its actions. That is de facto tyranny.
Rep. Chrissy Houlahan: "The last time we received a briefing on Venezuela with the full committee was never. That is something that should alarm everybody. Congress is supposed to be aware of what intelligence validates and justifies these attacks."

Interesting.

Here’s an “influencer from Texas”
November 21, 2025 at 8:03 PM
Stop wondering if Trump's actions and statements portend a "new normal". That's just an indirect way of normalizing them. Instead, call them the "new abnormal"...because no one in the past (including lunatics) would have even considered them.

Who voted for this?

Follow the money.
Warren: "With Jeffrey Epstein, I really mean follow the money. Here's the deal - JPMorgan Chase - yes, Jamie Dimon, I'm looking at you -- is Epstein's bank, a close personal relationship that spans years. Shouldn't this be in the JPMorgan's ads?...I'd like to have Dimon come in & under oath testify"
