A conversation Profe_Gabu Summary: I got this in my head after seeing a fic by Pichupal, so any blame, please direct to them (I don't know them and they probably don't know me) It's a self indulgent romance starter, so sue me. also, not sure I can write Runar right. aaanyways, as usual, I seem to have a habit of making my romances start by light bullying. Notes: This is after the Rak'tika Falls Dungeon at level 75, so Mid to Late Shadowbringer content. Mention of characters, but I think I got nothing of the plot in it. still, beware.

Day 11 - Frontier

Travel can be a tad boring when it takes weeks to get from A to B. Vlad getting bored is a bit... dangerous.

He will never admit it, but his sense of adventure is becoming more and more like Meteor’s

The pot steams and sparkles with a blue light as Demetrius watches intently (and with minor concern of messing up) while Conna stands by his side, arms crossed. Hildibrand (white Highlander with well coiffed, brown hair) walks up excited by the smell, asking if he can taste test. Her stellar white eyes trained on the pot, Conna tells him he can taste if his intent is to *die*. Demetrius apologizes, because they're creating a skin balm; the herbs required to create it are poisonous when consumed. So, no; Hildy can't taste test. Dejected, Hildibrand pouts and asks "why does it smells so tasty if it can't be eaten?" Without even looking at him, Conna demands softly yet firmly that he leave.

In Endwalker.... I haven't written about it, but I do have an idea about it, considering he wasn't in the best of terms by the end of Shadowbringers, and wanted, mostly, to keep them from trying to pull another stunt on Meteor.

There were a lot of times he tried to convince him to leave the Scions-

but he did get an earful. from both. on different days.

For Shadowbringers, he was dragged along with the other scions, and before Alisaie and Meteor, so he didn't have much choice about it to be fair. He did practice his Dark knight, as stark contrast to Meteor's light, to keep him grounded.

had met Musosai and got an interest in the training for Samurai, which led him to ask for time to go to Kugane, growing stronger, as his mother gave him a rotund NO to getting between Ala Mhigo and the empire, being refugees.

They didn't say anything about liberating Doma (and later helping Bozja)-

along with Alphinaud (finally growing to like the smug lordling) and Meteor (trying to keep him from falling into depression and guilt) while dealing with the "death" of Raubahn.

Stormblood was mere coincidence, and he didn't get involved on the Ala Mhigan part of the conflict.

ARR is mostly Vlad being "Hired" for the Scions as he does have the Echo, and while Meteor is becoming a hero, he's being technically dragged along, since they both know each other, and are both new to the organization.

Heavensward is easy, since the Scions were marked as criminals, so he tagged---

Vlad is not the WoL, that is Meteor. On ocassion, it's just a coincidence that they're in the same place, and at the start, Vlad was just annoyed into action by a VERY eager Meteor.

Mostly called by adventure, Meteor drags the trusty Arcanist (at the start) along with him--

Day 10 - Resonance

It needs a lot of Aether. It needs intention. It needs them to sync down to their very souls. But the very few times it happens, it is a limit break to break all limits.

Esteem, to the left, slams his staff to the ground, his Aether making a line to the skies. Vlad, to the right, raises his sword, and channels his aether into his blade, bursting in power. Both souls' energies clash and attract each other, channeling a meteor into existance, which is then cut by Vlad, along with their target.

Vlad isn't much of a tank often. when the need arises, he will do so, and yet, regardless of his role, he always aims to protect those in his charge.

A guard merely needs to protect. So much, and so little, and yet, he shall do so to his utmost.

A different tale, where aether is not at odds, and is manageable. An ascended form, and a burst of power.

Vlad, with his arms extended, raises his left to the skies, and proclaims: "As light overflows, we shall devour it!" Esteem, behind Vlad, in his phantom appearance, casts a spell over himself, complimenting Vlad's casting. "Using darkness to keep the balance and our sanity!" Angel wings burst out from their body, a white robe with red highlights adorning them. Their former armor is gone, and the hands and feet are uncovered. A light core floats in their chest, representing their souls keeping the corruption at bay. Both, fused, complete their phrase: "Dark aspected Light infusion! Forgiven and Grounded!"

I'm exploring mostly sexuality and how I (and by extension Vlad) approach romance.

in addition of a couple lines of duty vs care for those you love. How good intentions do not equal good actions and such. though I need more time to explore that end of the story

time to go all out, writers. what themes do you explore in your WoL/OCs character?

for example; aurora tackles themes of femininity, motherhood, womanhood, (in some cases) religion. For me when i make decisions as small as gender it can completely alter how I write a character!!
