Shaq Thompson makes a difference for the Bills D vs the run. His combo of size, movement, processing and skillset allow him to beat blockers to spots and gum runs up. He consistently stands out with his trigger, diagnosing, and his ability to get off blocks. Not a cure all, but a good puzzle piece

The Bills defense cuts off the frontside of this outside zone run, and Shaq Thompson (45) plays the cutback well

He plays off DaQuan Jones (92) in front of him and meets the RB in the B gap. Gets an immediate and emphatic acknowledgement from Rousseau
December 1, 2025 at 2:33 PM
Greg Rousseau (50) using his wingspan to fend off the TE’s block + stay in gap to make the stop on 4th & 2
December 1, 2025 at 2:09 PM
Christian Benford (47) benefits from an overthrow on this INT, but he put himself in position with good eyes + spacing the sail & vertical (great awareness to get feet down too)

Also, good job by Shaq Thompson (45) matching the sail route and undercutting it

AJ Epenesa (57) closing the B gap + Christian Benford (47) blitzing from the boundary + Shaq Thompson (45) triggering on the pulling RT and beating the climbing Center = a run stop
December 1, 2025 at 1:49 PM
Will Anderson Jr. (51) with one of the most insubordinate and churlish plays you’ll see. Giving him a runway like this is just mean
December 1, 2025 at 3:48 AM
Beautiful 4 man rush from the Texans collapses the pocket around Jones

Denico Autry (96) spikes and ethers the Center which frees up Sheldon Rankins (90) to work vs the RG with space, while Danielle Hunter (55) and Will Anderson Jr. drive both Tackles back
December 1, 2025 at 3:41 AM
Alec Pierce (14) as the 1 to the bottom of the screen showing burst off the line, and then going up & getting the ball + maintaining the catch through the ground and a punch through his hands

The Bills run game today in its simplicity and dominance was reminiscent of their performance against the Cowboys in 2023

Dallas couldn’t stop the Bills Tackle pull runs (mainly Dart & some Long Trap) and the Steelers couldn’t stop Duo and Mid Zone weak (mainly Duo)
December 1, 2025 at 2:23 AM
The Bills defense had the Steelers offense in the Texas Cloverleaf

Woody Marks (27) picking up a mugged up LB

Nice to see all 3 Running Backs contributing for the Bills today

As they go forward and continue to look for answers at WR/pass catcher (whether it’s injuries or scheme/structure) it would be a huge boon to offense if Ty Johnson & Ray Davis can be guys to lean on with James Cook
December 1, 2025 at 12:46 AM
The Buffalo Bills ran for 249 yards on 51 attempts in a game where they were missing both of their starting Tackles, and needed to run the ball more than usual with two of their best pass catching options out and one of their active WRs being a brand new player
December 1, 2025 at 12:19 AM
That’s twice today where Ty Johnson has caught a pass for the Bills on 3rd down, and known exactly where he’s needed to get to for a first down, and gotten there

The Bills and Josh Allen with a Maul that rugby teams would appreciate for that rushing TD
November 30, 2025 at 11:46 PM
Today has been a day where Joe Brady’s “if it’s not broken don’t fix it” approach to play calling has paid off on the ground. A steady diet of Duo and Mid Zone Weak from the Bills offense from similar/exact presentations (personnel, alignment, formation)
November 30, 2025 at 11:41 PM
Mid Zone Weak and Duo are two core run concepts for the Bills (Duo less so this year) and they can lean into both from similar/exact presentations like they have today. Being able to move the ball on the ground like they have today has allowed them to control game script + move the ball
November 30, 2025 at 11:39 PM
That was a Josh Allen AND1 mixtape TD

How do you taunt on a play where the offense scored on you? What are you taunting them about?
November 30, 2025 at 11:23 PM
Great job by Christian Benford knowing where he was on the field and making sure he got both feet down on that INT
November 30, 2025 at 11:15 PM
Effort and playmaking from Joey Bosa on the sack and FF, but a major shout out to the coverage forcing Rodgers to hold onto the ball
November 30, 2025 at 11:10 PM
The injuries, weather and turnovers have thrown a huge wrench & bucket of variables into the Bills offense today, but it’s hard to watch them and not want to jettison their pass game into the sun
