How could a social tariff on energy bills deliver a just society where people can afford their bills. Our friends at @fairbydesign worked with others to come up with a clear plan. Our MPs can push for it in the UK Parliament now.

It's unjust that so many people in Scotland are cut off from the building blocks of a healthy life. It's a matter of life and death. People in Scotland die younger than in most Western European nations. Men in deprived areas die 13 years earlier than men in the least deprived areas. A healthy society is one where we all have what we need for a healthy life - like suitable work, secure incomes, nutritious food, and warm, safe homes. Governments have a moral duty to make sure people have those basic essentials, so we can all build healthier, happier lives.

MSPs of all parties have made a promise to the children of Scotland, by setting down targets to massively reduce the injustice of child poverty. By 2030 there should be no more than 10% of Scotland's children in relative poverty. But in 2025 the poverty rate among children was still a shocking 24%.
