Scotland’s anti-poverty network. With justice and compassion we can build a future free from poverty.
A very important report today from our friends at @ipprscotland.bsky.social. Scotland needs to grow a #wellbeing #economy - but anyone who says that means cutting investment in #socialsecurity and public services is very wrong. One relies on the other.

It's unjust that the poorest people in the UK are getting poorer. Poverty is hardening, not easing.
That's the shocking finding in the Joseph Rowntree Foundation's #UKPoverty2026 report, launched this week.

How could a social tariff on energy bills deliver a just society where people can afford their bills. Our friends at @fairbydesign worked with others to come up with a clear plan. Our MPs can push for it in the UK Parliament now.

We believe that political leaders can work with business and communities to make sure we all have the building blocks of a healthy life, and access to equal health.
Do you agree?

MSPs of all parties have made a promise to the children of Scotland, by setting down targets to massively reduce the injustice of child poverty. By 2030 there should be no more than 10% of Scotland's children in relative poverty. But in 2025 the poverty rate among children was still a shocking 24%.
