One more thing (and this is the human writing, not the robot) - to answer your question, it is about self, rationality (reason), freedom, and it sees those as derived from individualism. One book by the founder, Rand, was titled “The Virtue of Selfishness“.

Yes, great question. Rational egoism is a related but broader category of ethical thought, whereas Objectivism is a more comprehensive philosophical system (ethics, metaphysics, aesthetic, etc.) but within ethics would be a type of rational egoism, I‘d say. Learn more: aynrand.org
