Suggestions for Sunday Pix...

Stacks (probably safer than piles!!).

@wombat37.bsky.social
Excellent distraction during sermons...
Joyously angular when the circumstances require it :-)

WaaaanKER!!
Would be even more expert if it was fart-blown...
Not sure if they're still there, but the Whippell's catalogue used to be a particular joy... pointy boob lady modelling priest's shirts, complete with dog-collars.
Yeah, then it's dark emmen I get home from work!
She's on my lap right now, is something of a Velcro cat.
7/10.

As usual; general knowledge all correct (including a lucky guess), pop music and sport... 🤷🏼‍♀️
I know the weeks around the equinox are the ones with the fastest change in day length, especially this far north (56⁰) but it is a bit grim being so dark at this time of the morning.

Have a cat! #Caturday
Much less hard work than playing bot whack-a-mole!

If you're No-Kings-ing tomorrow, have fun and stay safe.
Time for some Friday evening social history... but not late 90s #TOTP, instead some C17 history with @profaliceroberts.bsky.social (and Rylan).
From my generation in Durham, people with Chemistry degrees went into Accountancy, people with Physics degrees went into Merchant Banking.

(I'm weird, did Chemistry and have remained in science in all my professional life).
Listing and selling really doesn't work well for hand-made clothes anyway, you can't put a price on them that has the remotest resemblance to the actual cost of the garment (fabric plus time). Like you, I can afford to pay it forward by taking them to charity shops.
Often associated with manspreading...
Ive just dropped off some clothes to my local Red Cross shop (me-mades that just didn't work for me: a top, a skirt, and two dresses). As long as I put size, materials, care details they're happy to take them :-)
Sitting in a cafe, overhearing an older white man testiculating...

We really don't need to overhear your views mate.
Always thought they were the worst of both options (I have a non-plug-in hybrid, get 75 mpg and 550 miles to the tank).
@goingmedieval.bsky.social Thought you'd like one of the replies to the news that Pope Leo is going to disband Opus Dei...

"Dan Brown won't be happy"!

I hope you've had something better written and more accurate to read while you've been ill. Some Terry Pratchett perhaps :-)
YES! Get people out of their cars by making it easy and cost-effective to use public transport, treating it as a service not a profit-gouging business with demand pricing...

Make it make sense to use the train for medium to long journeys!!
We make methanol/ethylene glycol test kits for the oil industry. The covering letter spoke of ammonia testing for environmental purposes. Just asking chatgpt to write a covering letter for application to ommica.com would have got a better result.

So there's human laziness as well as LLM crapness.
