The gov'ts new bill attacks the right to protest, criminalising demonstrations outside of people's homes with vague language, curtailing the people's ability to hold decision-makers accountable.

The voter turnout coming out of Auckland, etc, is pretty disappointing. Everyone who has the opportunity to vote should be voting. After all, not voting is why we end up with people who don’t know what they’re doing as councillors.

I don’t understand how any cop let alone any human being could think effectively doing a push up on a person’s head and maintaining that stance is a good idea, the fact that this was taught to recruits for 3 years despite being picked up in 2022 is feral. #nzpol

Over 300 children, kids 13 years old or younger, in the past year being held in jail is absolutely shocking. The longest was 48 hours. The fact this goes up to 8 days in the young person category is actually disgusting. #nzpol

Just over 300 of them were aged 13 years old or under, the figures supplied by the police minister show.

Considering turnout, I don't think Te Pāti Māori have received this large of a majority in Tāmaki Makaurau (the electorate) since 2008 with Pita Sharples. Huge win for TPM over Labour especially coming up to the election next year. #nzpol
