New quick little promo I put together after messing around with Blender for a bit!! You might be thinking…. “Blender?” Yes! I 3D scanned all of the Play Dead products, and guess what? You can mess around with them…. simply head over to any product page on playdeadprops.com and click the red button!!
Burlap Kitty is DONE!!!! Spent all day working out a paint job for this little fella (and even broke my airbrush 💔💔) but I’m pretty happy with how they look!! Should be hitting the website soon, but they still need an official name…..

Back in the workshop!! A new Little Jack paint variant is coming very very soon that I’m incredibly excited to show off! Here’s a little teaser of me doing the base coat for the new colorway- this specific one is for a customer that requested rigid foam, so I’ve been experimenting a bit with that!!

*Officially* tried out linocut for the first time!!! Of course I had to carve some Fresno Nightcrawlers, I had a ton of fun and want to do more stuff like this!! One of these already sold to a friend, and I’m thinking about putting the rest up on @playdeadprops.com if there’s interest… let me know!!

Well they’ve made it this far!!! Just pulled the first test out of the plaster mold (cast in latex with a soft foam fill, so they’re super squishy!!!) and while it wasn’t perfect, it’s a good enough proof of concept!! On to painting, coming to @playdeadprops.com soon…….

Never got a chance to post about these here, but these are little fellas I made in honor of this past @furrydelphia.org!! I only ended up making two (so far), one that I gifted to the wonderful @spinchcat.bsky.social and the original “prototype” which I have, any ideas what to do with the mold now??
