This week, publisher NEXON pushed live their latest update to their free-to-play anime strategy role-playing game ‘Blue Archive’. Today, developer Unknown Worlds announced that its open-world survival crafting games, 'Subnautica' and 'Subnautica: Below Zero', will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 consoles on 17 February, delivering major visual and performance upgrades designed to take full advantage of the new hardware. As the developer puts it: both titles have received graphical improvements on Nintendo Switch 2. When docked, players can explore the depths of Planet 4546B in 1440p resolution, while Handheld mode runs at 1080p. Across both modes, the games support a smooth 60 frames per second, offering more responsive controls, enhanced immersion, and a more fluid underwater experience.

Last week, developer Plot Twist announced that their narrative adventure “murder graphic novel” title ‘Ashes’ will be seeing the launch of a demo on PC via Steam on 17 February, ahead of the game's Early Access launch later this coming Spring. After witnessing a murder, 16-year-old skater Azar Warren seeks refuge with her estranged grandfather on his rural compound, only to suspect he may be more dangerous than her pursuers. Ashes blends graphic novel panels with interactive puzzles in a story of murder and unease. The demo features the first 3 chapters of Azar's story, where you'll meet her grandfather and learn more about the dangers that await her.

Today, developer SavySoda has announced that the iconic anime series "Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045" will be joining up their free-to-play 8-bit sci-fi management MMORPG title 'Pixel Starships' today. Captains (that's you) on PC and mobile will have the chance to recruit six of these iconic cyberpunk heroes to their crew, adding new layers of tactical depth to their starships and having some cool people onboard. During this limited-time event, Pixel Starships captains can recruit up to six elite members of Public Security Section 9 to serve aboard their vessels. The update introduces fan-favourite characters, including Major Motoko Kusanagi, Batou, Togusa, Daisuke Aramaki, Purin Esaki and Tachikoma.
