There is beauty in sunsets and sunrises. In ends and beginnings. The trick is finding beauty in the moment you find yourself in right this minute.
I hope these people can understand this: If you want to fight fascism, you've got to be prepared to fight *for* trans people and immigrants since they are being targeted to further spread fascism. No ifs or buts about it.
Oh my god can relate, but for me it was summer clothes cause I started in Fall.
foxyryanx.substack.com/p/a-question... I trained for and ran a marathon. And it gave me some thoughts I needed to share about trans people being allowed to take part in sports as their authentic selves.
A Question of Sport
With my journey to my first marathon as my real self complete, let's address the sports question.

I mean, I'd guess the average amount of testosterone a *child* today has being half of that of an adult man, is probably something to do with the fact that half of the children aren't boys. BUT HEY MAYBE I'M JUST NUTS.
I'm non-binary. I have worn *multiple* 'male character dressed in female clothing' costumes pre crack. It is one of the most hilarious things about my time as an egg, I think. This year I'm dressing up as Gwen Stacy cause now I dress however the fuck I want.
I made a chart from some numbers I found on the internet. Trust me when I tell you it demonstrates exactly what I wanted it to. No caveats needed. This conclusively proves trans women should be allowed to do sports. Sources? Methodology? Nuh uh you don't get those. It demonstrates what I say.
Honestly, seeing people with no understanding of my life debating which freedoms I should and shouldn't have is one of the hardest parts of all of this.
The world's beauty persists no matter what someone believes to be true. The same holds true for your inner beauty.
I wear mine with pride nearly every day.
Using someone’s correct pronouns is basic respect — period.

People’s identities should not only be recognized but CELEBRATED.

This Sunday I run the Cape Cod Marathon in person for the third time. In this substack I talk about running and what it means to me that I will do so with by non-binary gender correctly reflected.

A prompt writer thinking they 'made' an AI image would be like Pope Julius II claiming he 'made' the frescos on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Commissioning a work doesn't make you the artist behind it.
The photo they have used here makes me furious for a couple of reasons.
People with empathy for the man here ought to ask themselves this: What if she had a black parent and failed to disclose that because she was worried this guy that seemed to be into her was racist? Would we still want to put her in jail for nearly 2 years?
Every center or center left party should look at what has happened to Labour in the UK and realize that abandoning trans people is *bad* politics. I mean, many of us predicted it would be, but we don't have to guess any more. Labour has gained nothing from our suffering.

I know this is *scary* but it's also so laughable that I can't help but lean into laughing at it for my own mental health. Sure go undercover at the support group I go to. While you won't stop any murders you might learn something about eyebrow shaping! So not a total waste of time.
In Virginia we're seeing a GOP candidate *way* behind despite running on an anti-trans platform. Only 3% of voters put it as their top issue. Most of those are liberal voters. By 13% people polled *prefer the dem on trans issues*. Abandoning trans people is *bad politics*.
Best of luck with your procedure and recovery!
This fox is going through things right now. Love and support is appreciated. But they will not lie down or stay quiet for anyone. The way forward is clear even if the path is hard. My smile is worth the fight.
Trans immigrant here. Seeing people reacting to stuff in the present with 'Oh my god this is the red line!' gives me this feeling of 'Well I'm glad you got there, but what the fuck were you doing for the last decade+?'
