I shall not watch another Disney production for the rest
Of my life - you disgusting toe-lickers. I am so disgusted. Obeisance to a racist rapist moron with the IQ of a newt. A pig who wouldn’t be president without the criminal actions of Elon the Felon

Painting 'Lightness of Being', an abstracted 'portrait' of a portion of the trunk of a South Australian blue gum tree that has died but is still standing and harbouring life in the Parklands of Adelaide, South Australia 😀. Some hidden or half-hidden creatures in the bark patterns.

‘Birth and Rebirth (Paperbark)’ - 70 x 140 oil on canvas and one of my favourite new pieces - some truly quirky forms suggested by the paperbark bark patterns. One little spot presented a nativity scene - contributed to the title 😁.

One of my recent paintings- a subtle and pensive nude hidden in pine tree bark patterns. 150 x 100cm in oils on canvas. I really like this one very much - and I’d be interested to see what you all think about it and if you like it too 🙂

I am going through cold turkey - haven’t had my studio to paint in for over 3 months. This is ‘Shy Elephant’ - an abstract oil on canvas based on the patterns and marks on an ancient silver birch trunk in Scotland’s Highlands. Can you find the shy elephant? 🙂😁

It’s funny how sometimes one completely forgets paintings done over the years. I just came across this old photo of me painting in the hot sun in my early twenties - a landscape of the hills in a remote part of the Eastern Cape in South Africa. The painting is now with great friends in Austria.

It is wonderful being on BlueSky - refreshing. First post: I thought I’d post a photo of the type of artworks I paint - this is ‘Water Creatures’ 120cm x 180cm oil on canvas - a mixed abstract and figurative composition based on the patterns in an Australian river red gum. Just sold in Adelaide 🙂.
