It’s still in the underpainting stage, I like to block out the light/dark areas and then work in tone and color to complete the painting.
This is the largest canvas painting I’ve ever done. The canvas is nailed to the wall and has a paint space of 12 feet by 6 feet.
This is my painting project where I take the Ninja Turtles and incorporate them into artwork by the Renaissance artists they were named after.

I started the 4th painting based on Michelangelo’s ‘Creation of Adam’
Michelangelo - Teenage Mutant Renaissance Turtle (work in progress)
3 out of the 4 Ninja Turtles done so far and the 4th is on the way.

This is the third (out of four) of my ‘Ninja Turtles as Renaissance art by the artist they were named after' project.

I put some hidden items into the piece. How many Ninja Turtles references can you spot?

Prints are available from the link in my profile!
and you lit up the dance floor. I know you’re out there still shining and making love visible.

We love and miss you Tigre.

This is a painting based on work by Tigre.

I photographed this installation that included pit-fired ceramics, salvaged wood, manzanita branches, and wired Moroccan lanterns.
but for me there is only one way to describe Tigre, Bad-Ass.

Seeing this wonderful human go through life and be unquestionably bad-ass was truly exceptional, someone I will never forget.

The last time I saw you we were dancing to the sounds of Mike Taylor DJing
you took on the challenge in stride and let us all see how to make what we call love visible. It was such a joy to watch you cultivate and channel all your creative aspects into physical forms.

I could use any number of adjectives for you and your wonderful art
You said that “Art is love made visible” and when I look at your work, I believe it.

From paint to installation and dance, you made the unseen into a part of life that I cannot describe. It has to be experienced to be found and finding one's identity is a challenge that we all face,
I think we all need to stop and think about what's going on right now.

This drawing is based on the Rodin sculpture ‘The Thinker’
It was scanned and digitally painted in procreate for iPad Pro
Happy May the 4th! This is one of my favorite characters and I’m so happy that I got to paint him.
Working in DTLA at my studio. The sunsets here are spectacular and inspiring. Gradient colors for life! #painter #art #studio #oilpainting #chroma #fineart #oiloncanvas #paintersofbluesky #sunset #painting #dtla #artsdistrict
This is an abstract paint sketch using pastel pencil and oil paint.

Exploring contrasting colors and adding variation to the tones and hues. This work has a style that blends colors in a way that shows space and dimension.
Over the past decade, the tech industry has been filled with hype, with many innovations falling short of their promises. AI products, the Metaverse, cryptocurrency, virtual reality, 5G, and self-driving cars are just a few examples.

This painting represents my reflection on this topic.
Early adopters are customers who purchase products during their initial release. Companies often generate hype around new products, sometimes over-promising features before launch. If the final product fails it can lead to a loss of trust—and in some cases, even antitrust lawsuits.
