How is anyone supposed to take LinkedIn serious when their choices of adding "instant messaging" contact information for your profile only lets you select from: Skype (dead), ICQ (dead), Google Hangouts (dead), QQ, and WeChat?

So a week or so ago I dropped into an #AucklandMakesGames co-working thing at Grid/AKL and it was a lot of fun. Really inspiring talking with other people trying to work on games and seeing what people are working on. Makes me really want to work on stuff! Let's go!

So I have realised I've hit a weird milestone in my move outside of the US. We have been here for over 2 years. Which doesn't seem like a lot to me, but for my kids? Who are now 8, 8, and 11? It's probably difficult to remember times before they were here. So when I read books to them... 1/🧵

What I wouldn't give to hear a Whitehouse reporter ask Donald Trump in an oval office press conference, "Who is Bubba?" ... Can someone please make this a reality? It will totally be worth whatever stupid babbling name he tries to call you.

Hmm. Since the people who made Bluesky came over from Twitter to rebuild Twitter, have they made a Bluedeck (Skydeck?) application yet? Twitter was garbage to use without Tweetdeck. Has anyone made something like this yet? Since it's an open platform, it means basically everyone can do it. Hmm.

I was at an event this morning in the North Shore of Auckland and I was wearing my beautiful green @cortexbrand.com Subtle Hoodie, and someone walked up to me and asked, “Is that for Cortex?” And when I told him yes he said “Wow, it IS subtle.”

Today I get to take advantage of one of the more amusing perks of being in the position I am in in life. I get to volunteer to assist with a school trip to go to a Kapa Haka festival at one of the local schools. So I get to spend my day celebrating indigenous culture. Fucking amazing.

Woo. Blog thing. I haven't had a very productive month. Between prepping and running a D&D adventure for a birthday party to the kids being on break from school. I'm trying to hit the ground running this coming Monday, so we shall see how it goes.

Depression is strong the last few weeks. It’s going to be tough to push myself to do some of the things I feel like I need to do. But I think one of the big things I need to focus on is getting out there and being active again. Work on eating better and less. And start losing weight again. 1/🧵

Man, I'm not on the ReMarkable train... but that Paper Pro Move is a sexy idea. I'd love to see Onyx and Supernote's versions of the idea.

You know, I have to say that Minecraft's greatest contribution to society is the like complete and total reset it made to the "graphics fidelity" in games. It came out probably around the peak era of "realism" and showed that games can be completely awesome without trying to look like the real world
