Dystokia's last atmosphere so far, with the heavy smog dulling your senses. The lights will flicker and the screen will shake slightly.

Might add a bit more to the background later.

I forgot about those! I could use them on my more modern laptop, though my handheld can only run up to 1.1.7 and that doesn't seem to have any plugin support, so I might have to jerry-rig for that lol.

Appreciate it, thank you! I'm thinking of polishing up the sea so it looks much rougher, and adding a bit more texture to the grotto.

So it means a lot to me that you like it even when I'm not done with it yet!

—in theory I could detect the zoom at the bottom then have the cursor move differently dependent on that though it'd be a bit wacky to do that imo. Tempting though.

You can do both, but not at the same time.

I'm thinking of perhaps making a quick bash script that detects the coordinates of the cursor upon clicking and sees if the coordinates are different when releasing.

For moving the cursor could do that with ydotool but it'd be weird with different zooms—

Trying out Aseprite. It's pretty solid for pixel art, though there are a few things I miss from GraphicsGale, mainly:
- Moving the cursor with arrow keys
- Right click to pick colors; drag to select

That said, it feels less clunky on Linux which is nice.
